Volunteer for Student Bylines

Make the editor's day and volunteer:

  • Critique submissions. A little good constructive criticism makes the world go 'round.
  • Spread the word on Student Bylines. Online and off. Hang up posters, distribute flyers, get websites to link to Student Bylines--anything to get the word out.
  • Write for the online edition of Student Bylines. You can write book/movie reviews, interviews of other teen authors/artists, articles on writing, or any kind of essay, poem or short story that strikes your fancy. Submissions featured in the online edition may or may not be featured in the print edition. Also, you won't receive payment for being featured in the online edition, but will if chosen for the print edition. Check out our submission guidelines page for more information.
  • Sell advertising space for the print edition. Actually, you would get paid for this project. But, there are a lot of details and paperwork involved. Email seth@studentbylines.com for more info.
  • Donate to Student Bylines. We think it's important to be able to pay our authors and artists, and to be able to print large quantities of the magazine. Help keep these practices alive by donating to Student Bylines.
  • If you are intersted in helping out in any of these ways please email seth@studentbylines.com.
