Most Creative 1984 Essay:
Write an essay using George Orwell's
1984 as the theme. You can include outside references in your
essay. For instance: Bush's War on Terror, The Patriot Act, mass
media, etc.--be creative. Use fiction elements in your essay.
The top ten will be published on
the website. Second place will be printed in the annual print
edition of Student Bylines and will receive two free copies of
the magazine. First place will receive fifty dollars, publication
in the magazine, and two free copies of the magazine.
Keep your entries under 1500 words.
The deadline will be June 1st, 2004. Make sure and visit our

Make sure that you specify in your
email, or on your entry cover sheet that your submission is specifically
for the 1984 contest.
